I can't be too clean...my last name is Messer!

Lots of change happening in my life right now. My husband Jody and I put our house up for sale, so we have been doing some cleaning out. A question I find myself asking more and more lately is "Why is it so difficult to get rid of things?" I sometimes wish I could get rid of everything I own and just start over. But then of course I look at my favorite pair of red pumps and know that I would never part with them. (They have a tortoise heel on them.. I mean come on!) So, today I am looking for ideas to help us organize our home. I found a few good things but mostly just stuff I already know. One good idea is that everything in your home should have a "place." Meaning when you use something there should always be a spot for it to go when you are done with it. It's pretty genius I think. I will probably never be the type of person who puts everything back after I use it but I would love to be better at keeping my house clutter free. So for sanity's sake I'm off to atleast to throw away old half-empty bottles of shampoo.....hey it's a start!
